A delicious choice to put as a frosting to any dessert, the combination of chocolate and butter is a true delight try this chocolate buttercream frosting recipe.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/2 cups vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons Water, or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup cocoa powder

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the ingredients a little bit until they are well mixed. Continue beating at low speed for 10 minutes or until creamy. Keep the bowl covered to prevent it from spilling.
Cocoa powder could be used to harden butter cream. Add a little more water (2 tablespoons) to achieve a desired consistency.
