A classic dessert that everyone likes, the classic lemon pie with meringue is a pie so rich in flavor that you will not be able to stop eating it. Accompany it with a glass of cold milk.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cups Marie biscuit, (for the crust)
  • 1/2 cups butter, melted (for the crust)
  • 1 can condensed milk, (for the filling)
  • 1/2 cups lemon juice, (for the filling)
  • 4 egg yolks, mixed (for the filling)
  • 4 eggs, (for the meringue)
  • 3/4 cups sugar, (for the meringue)

Preparation

For the Crust: In a bowl mix the ground Maria cookies with the melted butter.Press this mixture on the bottom and sides of a pie pan. Bake it in preheated oven at 350ºF (180ºC) for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
For the filling: Mix the condensed milk with the lemon juice and the yolks. Pour over the cookie crust and return to the oven 15 minutes more. Remove from oven and let cool.
For the Meringue: Beat the egg whites until they are fluffy. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until they soft peaks are formed.
Distribute the meringue on top of the pie. With the help of a fork or spoon form peaks with the meringue. Return to the oven until the meringue is lightly browned.
