This way of presenting the cupcakes is one of the newest ones. Decorating cupcakes with fondant is much easier than doing it in large cakes, it gives the possibility of making endless shapes and colors to achieve incredible details

Ingredients

24 portions
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 kilo fondant, to extend
  • jams, of any flavor
  • vegetal color additives, in gel

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
In a medium bowl, stir the flour, salt and baking powder.
In a large bowl, beat butter and gradually add sugar. Add the eggs one by one and the vanilla. At low speed, add the flour mixture little by little and continue beating until the mixture is homogeneous.
Put medium-sized cups on the cupcakes and fill them with the mixture to 2/3 of their capacity.
Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool.
If the cupcakes were very fluffy, slice the crests so that they are at the same level as the capacillo.
Spread some jam on the top of the cupcake so the fondant does not go off.
To make the bunnies, knead a fondant ball and stretch with a rolling pin on waxed paper until it has a circumference that is larger than the surface of the cupcake. Take off the waxed paper, put on the cupcake and press with your fingers so that the same paper of the crock cut the surplus fondant.
Make the ears and nose with your hands with white fondant.
Paint a little fondant with gel dye using a toothpick to obtain the pink color that will be used in the details, mold them by hand.
Place the ears, nose and details of the rabbit on the fondant surface of the cupcake. So that these details do not take off, you have to moisten them a bit with a brush.
Paint eyes and whiskers with a special down for food.

PRESENTATION

You can make different animals or use the shapes and colors that you like so that your cupcakes combine with the theme of your event.

TIPS

The cupcakes can be frozen or refrigerated for a few days, but this must be done before decorating them, as the fondant should not be refrigerated or frozen.
