12 portions
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons salt
  • 2 1/4 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 package cream cheese, for bitumen
  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter, for bitumen
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for bitumen
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence, for bitumen
  • yellow food color, for bitumen
  • blue food color, for bitumen
  • baking cups, blue and yellow

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade. Prepare two tray for cupcakes, one tray with yellow caps and another with blue caps.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
In an electric mixer beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Add the mixture of flour and milk and beat until you get a uniform dough.
Pour the dough into the pieces of paper and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
While the cupcakes are cooking, make the bitumen by whipping the cream cheese, the icing sugar, the butter and the vanilla essence in an electric mixer .
Divide the bitumen in two equal parts and add 1 drop of blue dye to one and a drop of yellow dye to the other (be careful because it paints the dye a lot, you can add it drop by drop until you have the desired color) and finish shake.
Since the cupcakes and the bitumen are ready, decorate the cupcakes with the bitumen.

You can add sugar figurines to make them look more appetizing.
