Ingredients

  • 125 grams sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 grams flour, with yeast
  • 1 teaspoon yeast powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 110 grams butter, at room temperature (for buttercream)
  • 25 grams unsweetened cocoa powder, (I use the Valor) (for the buttercream)
  • 110 grams powdered sugar, sifted (for the buttercream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, (for the buttercream)

Preparation

First mix the butter with the sugar by hand, with a spatula, and once well mixed, add the two eggs and you can start mixing with the whisk. Beat the butter a bit so that it softens, mix with the sugar and then add the eggs one by one. Then the flour is added little by little, the yeast, the vanilla extract and the milk. If you have done with minipimer, the mixture will be more liquid than with the blender . And as always, to the oven to 180 (if you have a fan, a little less, I put it to 160) 20 minutes, and ready! For the cupcakes I used the recipe for the vanilla cupcakes that I always use - it is difficult to change when something works so well, Once cold, I filled them with bitter orange jam, To fill the cupcakes there are different ways. I, in this case, did it by cutting the top part with a knife as explained in this tutorial. Once filled, you have to make the buttercream.
For the buttercream: beat the butter until creamy. Add the chocolate and beat until well blended. Then, we add the vanilla and the sugar glass little by little while we continue beating until all the ingredients have been incorporated perfectly. We will have a buttercream with a very good consistency and a lot of chocolate flavor. You just need to put it in the pastry bag and decorate the cupcakes. As usual, I decorated with the 1M Wilton nozzle. Chocolate on the outside, orange on the inside. For me, I love citrus fruits and chocolate, there can be no better combination.

TIPS

A good touch of elegance would be to put the dough of the poppy seed cupcakes and to give it a personal touch you can put cardamom, almond, cinnamon powder or a bit of anise and they will be unique. If you do not like orange, you can use any
