These rich cookies are made from a mass of oatmeal with datil.

Ingredients

60 servings
  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 1 Cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 of Cup of vegetable margarine
  • 3/4 of Cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • 2 1/2 cups of oats natural
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups of dates chopped

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
    In an electric mixer beat butter with margarine until well blended.
    Add the brown sugar and sugar and beat until you get a spongy mass.
    Add the eggs, and the vanilla and continue beating.
    In a deep bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and datil.
    Slowly add the flour mixture with the butter mixture in an electric mixer until you have the dough of the cookies.
    Prepare 2 baking trays with vegetable spray or butter and with a spoon put some dough for each cookie, make sure the cookies are a little separated so they do not mix.
    Bake cookies for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
