Apples poached with red wine are great to accompany a meat or a duck. They have a flavor of spices and wine that is delicious.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 apples
  • 700 milliliters Red wine
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1 star anise
  • 50 butter

Preparation

Peel the apples.
In a pot put all the ingredients.
After 30 min the pears must be cooked. You'll know why when you chop them with a knife and the picks will slide off the knife.
Take out of the pot and cut them in half or in thin slices depending on how you want to decorate the dish.
