Preparation
Peel the bananas, and cut them into small pieces.
Put the cinnamon sticks in the pieces of bananas. Put them in a thick-bottomed cauldron, cover them with sugar, add margarine, salt, vanilla extract and water.
Cook over medium heat and stir regularly until almost all the liquid has evaporated and only the syrup remains.
Serve immediately.
