Ingredients

20 portions
  • 20 apples, Creole, washed and stemmed
  • 1 can whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cups corn syrup, or maple syrup
  • sprinkles, to decorate

Preparation

Take each apple and insert a popsicle stick through the top. Cover a baking sheet with the parchment paper and lightly grease it with cooking oil.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the heavy cream, the sugar and corn syrup or the maple syrup. Stir very well with a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are incorporated and cook for ten minutes until the mixture is a caramel color. Continue stirring with the wooden spoon. Remove from heat and pour the hot mixture into a medium bowl.
Dip each apple in the caramel, making sure all sides are well smeared.

TIPS

Put the apples on a tin covered with butter paper and sprinkle with the colored seeds that you like the most. Refrigerate for 15 min until caramel hardens.
