Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry dough
  • 100 Gouda cheeses
  • 1 egg smoothie
  • sugars
  • 1 kilo of guava
  • powder sugar or refined to sprinkle
  • 2 spoonfuls of Water

Preparation

Preheats the oven to 180 ° C.
Flour a clean surface, knead with a floured roller and spread until it is approximately one centimeter thick.
With a biscuit cutter or a glass it forms circles, if you want larger empanadas, use a larger round utensil.
For the guava jam: wash the guavas, peel them, cut them in half and remove the seeds. Place them in a large pot over medium-low heat. Add the sugar and a little water until you get the texture you want.
Blend this mixture, return it to the fire and leave it there until it thickens and has reduced 1/3 of its original volume.
Place the little circles in a baking tray with waxed paper. Add a spoonful of jam in each and fold in half, pressing the edges with a fork or rolling the dough. Beat the egg and varnish each one.
Bake for 15 minutes or until they turn golden.
In the end you can spread with the help of a brush, melted butter and sprinkle sugar.
