Delicious Mexican dessert, very versatile since you can eat it hot, cold weather or. You can enjoy it accompanied by cookies or if you prefer as a complement to your hot cakes.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 12 guavas, medium
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 4 piloncillos
  • 1/2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 liter Water

Preparation

The guavas are washed, and the ends are cut (part of the flower and the patejo). They are divided into 4 parts along the guava.
Put the water in a pot along with the cinnamon, the piloncillo and the sugar. When the piloncillo is dissolved, add the chopped guava.
Keep the medium heat so that it does not boil excessively and the guavas break down.
Leave on medium heat for approximately 30 min. or until the guavas change color.

PRESENTATION

Serves in individual portions. You can serve it on time or cold.

TIPS

You can add more sugar or brown sugar depending on how you like the sweet. You can also eliminate the center of the guava, that is, the part of the seeds.
