Preparation
The guavas are washed, and the ends are cut (part of the flower and the patejo). They are divided into 4 parts along the guava.
Put the water in a pot along with the cinnamon, the piloncillo and the sugar. When the piloncillo is dissolved, add the chopped guava.
Keep the medium heat so that it does not boil excessively and the guavas break down.
Leave on medium heat for approximately 30 min. or until the guavas change color.
