The Clafoutis is a dessert of French origin, from the Limousin area that is characterized by having a semi-soft dough. Traditionally it is made with cherries although if you want you can add other fruits, as long as they are fruits that do not eliminate much juice. In my opinion it is easy to make and delicious.

4 portions
  • 1 jar cherries, pitted and drained
  • 40 grams butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 milliliters milk
  • 100 grams flour
  • 60 grams sugar
  • 1 sachet sugar, vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

Melt the 40 grams of butter and reserve.
In a bowl mix flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.
Add the eggs, milk and melted butter and mix until a smooth paste is obtained.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grease a mold or bake it with baking paper.
Drain the cherries and distribute them to the bottom of the mold. Then pour the clafoutis dough.
Bake for 10 minutes at 200 degrees and then lower to 175 degrees and let it finish cooking for about 20 minutes or until you see that the dough is curdled and the surface lightly browned.

TIPS

No matter the shape of the mold, even if you want you can make several servings in small individual molds.
