  • 1 egg, to varnish
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 2 Red apples
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cups sugar, glass to decorate


Peel the apples and with a disheartening removes the center of each one. Cut them into small cubes of the same size.
Place them in a pot with the refined sugar and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Leave on low heat until softened.
Flour a clean surface and a roller. Stretch the puff pastry of the size you want, I recommend you 20 cm x 20 cm.
Cut strips of the same size on both sides, cross each strip as a braid until you manage to close it.
Remove the excess liquid from the apples so they do not water the dough.
Place the filling in the center of the puff pastry, place a little less at the ends.
Beat an egg and with the help of a brush varnishes the entire strudel. Bring to a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Sprinkle with icing sugar or cinnamon before serving.


Serve on a large wooden board or platter.


Serve hot with a scoop of cinnamon or nut ice cream.
