Preparation
In a deep bowl sift the flour, baking powder and salt and mix with a fork.
With an electric mixer , beat the sugar and butter until the butter is mashed and there are no lumps.
Add the egg and vanilla essence to the butter and continue whisking.
Add little by little the flour mixture and knead.
Place the dough in a plastic bag and freeze for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and prepare two baking trays with waxed paper.
Remove the dough from the freezer and with a flat roll, adding flour to the dough so that it does not stick to the roller or the surface. With the cookie cutter cut the cookies and place on the baking sheet.
Bake the cookies until lightly browned, 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Mix the icing sugar, the meringue powder and a little water to obtain the bitumen.
Divide into plates and color. Decorate the cookies with the bitumen and Christmas sugars.
