Ginger Cookies with Yoghurt

Gingerbread cookies is a classic dessert in North American cuisine. They are delicious cookies in the shape of dolls with a rich flavor of ginger. Here we present a delicious version with Oikos® Nutty Yogurt, ideal for the Christmas season.

Ingredients

  • 260 grams of flour
  • 100 grams of Butter
  • 50 grams of Yogurt Oikos® with Nut
  • 100 grams of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoonful of sodium bicarbonate
  • 1 teaspoonful of cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoonful of ginger powder
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • 2 pieces of egg white (to decorate)
  • 200 grams of sugar glass (to decorate)
  • 1 piece of lemon (to decorate)
  • to taste of Vegetable coloring to decorate

    Preparation

    Preheat an oven to 180 ° C.
    In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, flour (previously sifted), baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and a pinch of salt. Beat and add an egg to the mixture. Subsequently, add the butter (at room temperature) and continue mixing until all the ingredients are incorporated and obtain a homogeneous mixture.
    Sprinkle some flour on the table where you are going to work the dough. Spread the pasta with the help of a roller (1 centimeter thick), cut the cookies with a doll-shaped cutter. Place cookies on a tray with a silicone mat or waxed paper.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until cooked. Allow them to cool before decorating them.
    To decorate: add the egg whites to a bowl, stir and incorporate, little by little, the icing sugar. Add a few drops of lemon. Separate the mixture in several bowls (depending on how many colors you want to decorate the cookies) and color the mixture of each bowl with a different vegetable dye. Pour each color into a pastry bag and place a round girl duya. Decorate the cookie.

    TIPS

    To decorate the cookies, you can substitute pastry sleeves for plastic sandwich bags.
