Ingredients

10 portions
  • 2 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature, for cookie dough
  • 1 3/4 cups powder sugar, for the cookie dough
  • 1 egg, for cookie dough
  • 1 egg yolk, for cookie dough
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, for cookie dough
  • enough flour, to extend
  • 1 1/2 cups powder sugar, for the glaze
  • 2 tablespoons milk, for the glaze
  • enough vegetal color additive, black, brown, green and red
  • enough Chochitos, to decorate
  • 4 1/4 cups flour, for the cookie dough

Preparation

Preheat oven to 170 °C (392 °F)
For the cookie dough, add the butter to the blender and beat with sugar until it forms a dough, add the egg and the yolk, stir until incorporated, add the essence of vanilla, flour and salt, continue beating until all ingredients are incorporated. Remove the dough from the blender, place in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 min.
On a table place a little flour and spread the dough to a thickness of 3mm (0.18 inch), cut the dough with cookie cutters, and place on a baking sheet previously greased and floured.
Refrigerate the cookies until they are firm enough and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Remove and let cool.
For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with the milk until you have a consistent mixture.
Separate the glaze in different bowls and color with vegetable dyes to your liking. Place in pastry sleeve.
Decorate the cookies to your liking and let dry. Enjoy
