THUMPRINT COOKIES

These cookies will remind you of your grandmother, with its butter flavor and the delicious filling of apricot and blackberry jam, ideal to serve them with coffee and share with friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Butter at room temperature
  • 1 3/4 cups of sugar glass
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1 Cup of sugar glass for the glaze
  • 2 spoonfuls of Orange juice for the glaze
  • 1/4 of Cup of apricot jam
  • 1/4 of Cup of blackberry jam

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
    In a mixer, beat the butter until softened. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Mix until incorporated. Carefully add the egg and the flour one third at a time. Mix for 5 more minutes.
    Shape the dough into little balls and put them over a baking sheet. Press each cookie at the center with your thumb and bake for 15 minutes. Let them cool.
    For the glaze: in a bowl, mix the powdered sugar and the orange juice. Transfer to a pastry bag.
    Decorate and fill the center of the cookies with jam.
    Enjoy!

    On a plate accompanied by milk.

    TIPS

    Powdered sugar gives cookies a softer consistency.
