Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 500 milliliters vegetal oil
  • lemon zest
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Mix the flour with the baking powder. I recommend that the sieves to prevent lumps from forming. Add vanilla and egg.
Add half of the flour and beat until all the ingredients are incorporated. Add the rest of the milk and beat until you have a liquid mass without lumps.
Place the oil in a pot and heat it to 180 ° C. Add the lemon zest, remember to remove the lemon zest before you start frying the fritters.
With the help of a spoon, place a ball of the dough in the oil. Fry it for about 3 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Repeat this process with the rest of the dough.
Place the fritters on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
