Prepare these traditional sugary empanadas. It is a traditional Mexican recipe that will become a favorite in your home. Here we teach you how to make empanada dough from scratch, do not be scared as it is very easy, you do not need many ingredients and your family will love it. You can eat them at breakfast, as dessert or even at dinner with a hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 750 grams of pending
  • 375 grams of vegetable shortening
  • 1 can of light beer
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • 1/2 Cup of jam
  • 1 Cup of brown sugar
  • 100 grams of ground cinnamon

    Preparation

    Sift the flour on a clean and flat surface (work table) reserve a bit of the flour can be a handful to finish giving consistency to the dough or to the roller. Add the pinch of salt and add the vegetable shortening until it forms a paste.
    Add the beer little by little, continue kneading until you get a soft dough.
    Roll the dough and cut 30 equal pieces and shape them into a cylinder, spread them with a rolling pin until you get thin ovals.
    Grease a baking tray with a little vegetable shortening and flour.

    Bake at 180 ° C for 25 minutes, it is not necessary to be very golden. In a bowl mix the sugar and cinnamon.
