Preparation
Wash the unpeeled figs.
Boil for 5 minutes until they release their milk and remove them.
Puncture the figs with a toothpick so that later it is impregnated with syrup.
In a large pot add the 2 liters of water with the sugar and the lemon peels. Then place the pricked figs.
Cook over low heat for two hours or until you reach the syrup point.
The figs must be crystal clear. They can be served with nuts or vanilla ice cream.
