The flan is one of our favorite desserts, for its delicate, smooth and rich consistency. Prepare this different version of flan, with the unique flavor that only the dulce de leche can give you, plus a touch of cream cheese, which makes it even more creamy and gives the ideal consistency.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 Cup of cajeta - Mexican carmelized goat milk sweet
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of cajeta - Mexican carmelized goat milk sweet
  • 190 grams of cream cheese
  • 5 pieces of egg
  • 1 Cup of nut
  • to taste of Strawberry

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 170°C (340 °F).
    Pour a thin layer of dulce de leche into a mold.
    Blend the eggs, evaporated milk, dulce de leche and cream cheese.
    Sift the mixture carefully over this layer. Bake in Bain Marie covered with aluminum foil for 45 minutes. To check if it's done, insert the tip of a knife in the center of the custard. It should come out clean. Let it cool and chill for 3 hours in the fridge.
    Unmold and garnish with dulce de leche, chopped pecans and strawberries.

    PRESENTATION

    On a plate spread with more dulce de leche, nuts and strawberries.

    TIPS

    The cream cheese gives a creamier consistency to the flan.
