Ingredients

10 portions
  • 200 grams butter
  • 200 grams brown sugar
  • 100 grams bitter chocolate, in pieces
  • 75 milliliters brandy
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 250 grams raisin
  • 100 grams cranberry
  • 100 grams lemon zest
  • 200 grams flour
  • 100 grams almond
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 eggs, smoothie
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • 500 grams Marzipan
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

In a large saucepan, place butter, sugar, chocolate, brandy, vanilla and dried fruits and grated. Heat over medium heat until everything has melted. Get out of the fire.
Heat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
Prepare a rectangular mold to make bread or a circular mold with vegetable spray.
In a deep bowl, mix the flour, almonds, spices (cinnamon and ginger) and cocoa. Add the eggs and lightly mix the mixture that is heated in the pot. Mix well.
Pour the mixture into the mold and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean. Remove from the oven.
Allow the cake to cool and unmold.
With a rolling pin, flatten the marzipan on a floured surface until it covers the cake and place on the cake.

PRESENTATION

Decorate the cake with icing sugar at the time of serving. You can also decorate the cake with maraschino cherries.
