These delicious butter cookies are traditional at Christmas time in Germany. They have a rich consistency that when biting it melts in your mouth. They are perfect to decorate with a little chocolate or to eat them alone. Prepare them and share them with everyone or make them to give as gifts, they will be the sensation of everyone.

Ingredients

45 portions
  • 380 grams butter, softened
  • 250 grams sugar, powdered
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 500 grams sifted flour
  • 125 grams almond, or ground walnut
  • 100 grams bitter chocolate, or milk

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350ºF (180 ° C).
Cover 2 or 3 baking trays with wax paper or baking paper. Put the butter in a bowl and beat until softened. Mix it with the sugar, vanilla and salt until it absorbs the sugar. Add little by little 2/3 of the flour, continuing to mix.
Add the rest of the flour and the almonds and mix until it forms a dough. Pass the dough to the pastry bag and form vertical pieces of 7.5 cm long on the trays or give any shape to your cookie (heart, circle, etc).
Bake for 12 min or until browned and move to a rack. Melt the chocolate in a bowl in a bain-marie. Dip the cookie halfway and put them on the rack to dry.

TIPS

These cookies can be stored for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
