This Gugelhupf Chocolate Filled is a cake of German origin similar to the American "Bundt" Cake, it is filled with Chocolate that makes it truly delicious.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 300 grams flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 200 grams unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 150 grams powdered sugar
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 5 eggs, (separated)
  • 60 grams bittersweet chocolate

Preparation

Pre warm the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Grease a mold to make cakes (preferably a mold for panque bundt like the one in the photo).
With an electric mixer whisk egg whites until stiff. From time to time add the sugar and continue beating.
In a bowl beat butter for 1 minute until fluffy. Add the icing sugar and beat for 2 more minutes. Add the egg yolks and continue beating. Add the vanilla.
Melt the chocolate in a bain marie.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix the egg white, the butter mixture and the flour mixture.
Transfer 1/3 of the mixture to the baking pan and pour the chocolate over the mixture. Then pour the rest of the dough.
Bake the cake for 1 hour or until the toothpick comes out clean when inserted. Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes before unmolding.

PRESENTATION

Serve the cake with coffee and / or ice cream. Garnish with icing sugar.
