For a hot day or for a fun weekend, prepare this recipe for homemade lemon ice cream, which you can accompany with chili powder and chamoy.

To make homemade ice cream, remember that you must use salt, since it retains the temperature, so it will help the ice to last longer in the solid state. Also, you can make a lemon snow as concentrated as you want, since you can add extra syrup and a little more lemon juice.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 4 cups of Water
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of green coloring
  • 1 on of unflavored gelatin hydrated and melted (7 g) (0.25oz)
  • enough of ice
  • enough of sea salt
  • enough of chilli powder to serve
  • enough of chamoy in powder, to serve

    Preparation

    Heat a pot over medium heat with water, add the sugar and cook until it forms a syrup. Remove and cool slightly.
    In a bowl, mix the syrup with the lemon juice, the dye and the unflavored gelatin vigorously until incorporated.
    Place the bowl in a bowl of ice and grain salt. Turn the bowl for a while until it starts to make frost on the edge. Lower the frost with a shovel and continue turning until the mixture begins to freeze. Repeat until completely frozen.
    Once the mixture is more solid, freeze to finish solidifying. When completely frozen, serve with chili powder and chamoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve with chamoy and chili powder.

    TIPS

    The salt retains temperature, which will help the ice to last longer in the solid state.
