Rich home-made peanuts with pralines to enjoy as a family

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 cup red skin peanut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • drops red food color

Preparation

In a slightly shallow saucepan and preferably with Teflon add all the ingredients and put on high heat, without stopping to move.
When it starts to boil, lower the heat but never stop moving.
It will take a while but, you will see that it will start to form a kind of foam and to dry, keep moving, it will be heavier each time. But do not stop moving.
The time will come when the sugar will dry again, nothing happens, keep it that way. After a while, the sugar, already caramelized and very heavy, will melt again, lower the flame to the minimum and stir until the majority of the sugar sticks to the peanut. Be careful not to let go because it becomes a crowbar.
At the moment that the sugar is stuck to the peanuts, remove from the fire and spread on a clean surface and let them cool. Enjoy them as a family already completely cold.

PRESENTATION

An excellent idea is to put portions in selofán bags with a bow tie to give a small present to friends. I hope you like them.

TIPS

Do not let the family consume them hot.
