This recipe for apple pies will become your addiction, as they are soft and juicy on the inside but crunchy on the outside. This apple-filled cinnamon pie is ideal for any occasion, as well as inexpensive and very delicious. Enjoy them hot!

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 300 grams flour, for the mass
  • 200 grams butter, for the mass
  • 1 egg, for the mass
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the mass
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, for the mass
  • 2 tablespoons milk, cold, for the dough
  • flour, to flour

  • 1/2 cups butter, in cubes, for the filling
  • 4 tablespoons raw sugar, for the filling
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice, without seeds, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups water, for the filling
  • 4 tablespoons sugar, for the filling
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch, dissolved in cold water
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon, powder, for filling
  • 1 egg, to varnish

Preparation

For the dough, place the flour and butter in a processor and process in a period of 15 seconds until obtaining a sandy consistency, add the egg, salt, sugar and cold milk.
Knead with your hands just to integrate all the ingredients. If it feels very dry you can add one more teaspoon of milk. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
On a short board in small cubes the Gala Apple. Reservation.
For the filling, add the butter, the Gala Apple, the muscovado sugar, the lemon juice and the water to a frying pan and cook for 5 minutes; Add the sugar, cornstarch and ground cinnamon, cook for 5 more minutes and cool.
Roll out the dough and cut into two large rectangles, for the base and for the lid.
Place the apple filling vertically by making two lines across the bottom (or width). Varnish with egg and cover with the dough, cut in half and horizontally to form the pies. Close with the help of a fork. Freeze for 30 minutes.
Take out of the freezer make 3 diagonal cuts on the surface of the pies, varnish with egg and bake 25 minutes at 180 ° C. Cool slightly, serve and accompany with milk.

PRESENTATION

Serve hot and enjoy. Accompany with milk.

TIPS

Don't handle the dough too much as this will heat it up and lose its shape.
