Try this delicious and traditional jaroset, which is made with apple, dates, raisins, walnuts, sweet wine, and cinnamon. It is a traditional food for the "Passover" festival of the Jewish community, which is prepared in various ways according to the tradition of each family. Ingredients

  • 1 liter of Water
  • 1/2 Cup of boneless date in halves
  • 1/4 of Cup of raisins
  • 2 pieces of Red Apple
  • 1/2 Cup of lemon juice
  • 2 spoonfuls of Orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon of wine Kosher
  • 1/4 of Cup of nut finely chopped
  • to taste of matza to serve

    Preparation

    In a bowl, soak the dates and raisins in water for 2 hours and strain.
    In a table, peel and chop the apples in small cubes.
    In a saucepan with water, cook the apples with lemon juice and orange juice for about 30 minutes. Add the dates, raisins and cook until it has the consistency of puree. Chill
    Place the previous preparation in a bowl and mix with the kosher wine and nuts, refrigerate until serving.
    Spread on a matza and sprinkle with shredded coconut if you wish.

    PRESENTATION

    Place in a bowl and decorate with chopped walnut. If you want add grated coconut.

    TIPS

    This recipe can also be made without cooking, it only integrates all the ingredients as a fruit salad.
