This recipe is a must in any Mexican celebration and these knee fritters are crunchy and with a delicious cinnamon and anise honey that you will love. Sweeten your national holidays with these delicious easy donuts and pamper everyone with their traditional flavor.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, for the fritters
  • 2 tablespoons oil, for the fritters
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the fritters
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, for the fritters
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for the fritters
  • 1 piece (if it appears in the ingredient) piloncillo, for honey
  • 1/2 cups Water, for honey
  • 1 raja cinnamon, for honey
  • 1 piece (if it appears in the ingredient) star anise, for honey

Preparation

In a bowl mix all the ingredients of the fritters until you obtain a homogeneous and firm dough. Reserve the dough for 30 minutes
For the piloncillo honey, in a pot over medium heat heat the water, add the piloncillo, add the cinnamon and anise, cook for 15 minutes until it becomes a syrup.
On a floured surface, spread the dough until it is 3 mm thick and 25 cm in diameter.
Serve on an extended plate and enjoy with a cup of pot coffee
