The most special thing about this recipe is that it is a Oaxacan tamal but filled with Latte Creme Marinela®, which will remain spongy and have the delicious Oaxacan-style banana leaf flavor.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 Cup of Butter
  • 3/4 of Cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of cornmeal , for tamales
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 8 pieces of Latte Creme Marinela® (40g c/u) (1.4 oz each)
  • enough of banana leaf roasted

    Preparation

    Beat the butter with the sugar until smooth, add the flour, baking powder and milk little by little as the dough demands. Beat until you have a homogeneous and semi-liquid mass.
    Pour a tablespoon of the tamal dough into the banana leaf and spread out. Place a piece of Latte Creme Marinela® on top and cover with more dough. Close as a tamal.
    Place the tamales in a steamer with water and cook for 40 minutes. Rest before serving.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve warm

    It is necessary to "roast" on a fire under the banana leaf so that it is flexible and you can handle it.
