Lemon Popsicles with Pulparindo

For hot days or for a party, prepare this recipe for lemon ice popsicles with pulparindo and add a little chili powder and chamoy. For homemade lemon popsicles you can use any popsickle mold, it is only important that they be unmolded when they are well frozen, otherwise they could break.

Ingredients

10 servings
  • 8 cups of Water
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of Vegetable food coloring
  • 1 on of unflavored gelatin 7 g, hydrated and melted
  • 10 pieces of Pulparindo (Hot and salted tamarind pulp candy)
  • enough of chilli powder for serving
  • enough of chamoy for serving

    Preparation

    Heat the water in a saucepan over medium heat, add the sugar and cook until it forms a syrup. Incorporate the lemon juice, the coloring and the gelatin, mix very well and cool.
    Fill the popsicle molds with the previous mixture and freeze until they begin to solidify. Once you have a firm layer, fit a pulparindo onto each popsicle. Return to the freezer until they are completely solid.
    Unmold the popsicles and serve with chili powder and chamoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve with chili powder and chamoy.

    TIPS

    You can use any popsicle mold of your choice. It is important that you unmold them when the treats are well frozen, otherwise they may break.
