Ingredients

10 servings
  • 400 grams of flour
  • 15 grams of yeast
  • 200 grams of Butter melted
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 7 egg yolks
  • 3 eggs whole
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1 Cup of caramelized fruit in strips to decorate
  • 1 tablespoon of essence of orange
  • 2 dolls for thread

    Preparation

    In a deep bowl, dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water.
    Add half the flour and knead to make a dough ball. Put on a plate and cover with plastic wrap to let it stand until it has grown to twice its size.
    In a large bowl, mix remaining flour, eggs, orange essence, yolks, melted butter, sugar and salt.
    Add the fermented dough (the one with the yeast) and mix until you obtain a uniform dough.
    Let the dough ball rest in a covered dish for 6 hours at room temperature.
    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade. ( 350°F)
    Take the dough and make two ring shape bread rolls. Put each ring on a large baking sheet. The dolls are placed inside the rings with no trace of where they are.
    Bake the ring cake for 15-20 minutes.
    Remove from the oven and decorate with the caramelised fruits.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve the king's cake and allow everyone to cut their piece. The person who in his piece finds the little plastic doll will be responsible for making the party of tamales.

    No me gustó.. 1/4 de tasa de agua con la levadura más 200 gramos de harina no se puede amasar nunca.. demasiado seco, al final termina por hacerse unas pelotitas duras de masa que no se disuelven nunca.. quizás las explicación es mala porque la preparación debe ser los pasos totalmente detallados sin asumir que la gente sabe.
