The peanut palanqueta is a typical dish from Coahuila, Mexico. The recipe is very rich and much easier than you think.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cups roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup piloncillo
  • 2 sticks butter

Preparation

Grease a pyrex rectangular refractory with butter.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter and add the cup of sugar and the cup of piloncillo, stir constantly until it changes to a golden color and has a thick consistency.
Add the peanuts to the pot with caramel and stir well until everything is well incorporated.
Pour the mixture into the refractory and flatten with a damp wooden roller until it is flat. Let cool.
When cold, unmold and cut into pieces.

PRESENTATION

Serve over a typical Mexican dish with blue colored paper.

Tengo una duda! Por que dice en los ingredientes dos barras de mantequilla y an la preparacion dice 4 cucharadas de mantequilla?
