Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt for colors
  • 2 cups of flour for colors
  • 180 grams of Butter
  • 1/2 Cup of vegetable shortening
  • 1 Cup of sugar
  • 5 pieces of egg white
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla
  • 1 Cup of vegetable shortening
  • 3/4 of Cup of powder sugar
  • 1 kilo of fondant
  • enough of red food color
  • enough of green food color
  • enough of blue food color
  • enough of yellow food color

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
    Beat the whites, snow point or until they triple its volume, add half of the sugar, cream of tartar and salt. With the help of a sieve, add the flour and the rest of the sugar, incorporate it in an enveloping way.
    Separate the preparation into 4 bowls and paint each color.
    Place each color in pastry sleeves. Reservation.
    In a tray with waxed paper pour the mixture of the cakes making lines, interspersing the colors, so that it is like a "rainbow". Bake for 8 minutes and cool.
    With a cutter, cut figures of rainbow bread and reserve.
    For the pancake, beat the butter and vegetable shortening, add the sugar, add the egg whites little by little, add the flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla, milk and whisk until completely integrated.
    Add a bit of the pancake mixture in a previously greased and floured mold. Place the rainbow bread figures, forming a row.
    Add more pancake mix to fill completely, it is important that figures are completely covered, bake for 45 minutes and let cool.
    For the bitumen, beat the shortening with the icing sugar until incorporated.
    With the help of a spatula, cover all the pancake with the bitumen. Reservation
    Divide the fondant into 4 portions and paint pink, blue, green and yellow.
    Make long rolls of different colors, put all the rolls together, and roll up again so that the colors mix with each other.
    Stretch the fondant about 3mm thick, cover the pancake and remove the excess with the help of a knife. Decorate with candles.
