8 portions
  • 500 grams flour
  • 225 grams butter, cool
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons Water, cool
  • 750 grams apple, starking
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cups raisin
  • 1/2 cups walnut, chopped
  • 1/4 cups raw sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 egg yolk, to varnish

In a bowl the flour, sugar and salt are passed through a sieve, sifting two or three times.
The butter is cut into squares and added to the flour, with the tips of the fingers stirred with the flour should be small crumbs.
Mix the dough carefully and add the water as you see it is integrated, if necessary add a little more, there should not be a sticky dough because it can shrink when baking.
Divide the dough into two parts. Spread the pasta with a rolling pin and line the mold for the pie. With the other part of the mass, strips 2 cm wide and according to the width of the mold are cut.
Peel the apples, remove the center and cut into 4 parts, cut them into not very thick slices.
A large pan is placed on the heat, add the butter, add the sugar and cinnamon, mix with a wooden spoon, add the cut apples and heat until they release a little juice.
Add the raisins and chopped nuts.
Allow the previous mixture to cool and then empty into the lined mold.
With the pasta strips the pay is covered with a certain separation between them, and it is woven so that it looks like the photograph I am presenting.
Embarking the pay.
Bake at 180 ° for approximately 30 to 40 minutes until it is cooked, then brown the surface on the grill of the stove.

They are served in slices and can be accompanied with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The reason to put apples to parboil is so that it does not reduce the amount if they are put raw.

Muy buena, sobre todo el calentar la manzana le dió mejor textura. Lo que no sale bien es calentar el azúcar mascabado, por que se hace duro y forma rocas.
