The perfect recipe to start baking is this homemade and easy apple pie. This step by step requires few ingredients to prepare a traditional dessert for the whole family. Learn how to make the broken cake paste and don't forget to accompany your delicious pie with a little vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 4 cups of flour for the mass
  • 3/4 of Cup of sugar for the mass
  • 300 grams of Butter cold for the dough
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla essence for the mass
  • 1 egg for the mass
  • 2 spoonfuls of Butter for the filling
  • 6 apples without shell and cut into cubes, for filling
  • 1/4 of Cup of raw sugar for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon for the filling
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of cardamom for the filling
  • 1 egg to varnish

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
    For the dough: place everything in the food processor and process until integrated. Knead lightly and rest in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
    Spread the dough with the help of a 5 mm thick roller and place on a previously greased and floured pie mold; cut off excess and reserve for braiding.
    In a pan over medium heat, heat the butter and sauté the apples, add the sugar and cook 5 minutes or until you have reduced the liquid, season with cinnamon and cardamom. Let cool and reserve.
    Fill the mold with apples and cover with a braid of the remaining dough. Varnish with egg and bake 40 to 45 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Serve and enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    On a cast iron skillet, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

    TIPS

    If you notice dryness in the dough, you can add 2 tablespoons of cold water to hydrate it and prevent it from breaking when handling it.
