Ingredients

16 portions
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 400 grams Marie biscuit
  • 8 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vanilla flavor corn starch
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 bananas, ripe
  • 2 cups whipping cream

Preparation

Grind the María cookies and mix with the previously melted butter, place the mixture in the bottom of the pie dish by pressing with your fingers.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
In a saucepan combine milk and vanilla essence, bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and whisk with a balloon whisk to incorporate egg yolks and sugar little by little. Add the cornstarch and continue mixing with the whisk.
Return the saucepan to the stove and cook for 5 minutes, the mixture should be like custard consistency. Add the 6 tablespoons of butter until it melts.
Cut the bananas into slices and add to the custard.
Pour the mixture over the bottom of two pie dishes, make sure that the banana does not stick out the custard to avoid browning. Flatten the surface, cover the pie dishes with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 7 hours before serving.
Remove from the refrigerator and decorate with the whipped cream.
