This bi-color strawberry pie is perfect for any occasion. With a layer of vanilla and a crust of butter cookies that will make you look great with your guests. It is a simple recipe and you do not need to use the oven.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 package of Maria cookie 170g (5.6 oz) (for the crust)
  • 1/2 bar of Butter from 45 g - to room temperature (for the crust)
  • 1 teaspoonful of sugar (for the crust)
  • 3 pieces of egg white (for the lemon mousse)
  • 1/2 Cup of sugar (for the lemon mousse)
  • 1 on of unflavored gelatin hydrated and melted (7 g) (.25oz) (for lemon mousse)
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla (for the lemon mousse)
  • 1 Cup of whipping cream (for the lemon mousse)
  • 1 Cup of Strawberry Washed and dried. Cut into small squares. Reserve ½ cup to decorate (for strawberry mousse).
  • 3 spoonfuls of sugar (for the strawberry mousse)
  • 1 tablespoon of Water (for the strawberry mousse)
  • 1 on of unflavored gelatin hydrated and melted (7 g) (.25 inc) (for strawberry mousse)
  • 1 Cup of whipping cream (for the strawberry mousse)

    Preparation

    In a blender grind the butter cookies until you get a fine powder. Mix with melted butter and sugar. Press the mixture on a round pie baking pan 22 cm (8.6 inches) in diameter to form a crust. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
    For the vanilla mousse, whisk the egg whites at high speed until they begin to froth Add the sugar little by little and the unflavored gelatin and continue beating until it forms stiff peaks.
    On the other hand, beat the cream together with the vanilla essence to form soft peaks. Add the egg whites mixture of the whites to the whipped cream in an enveloping form and pour it in the pie pan with the crust. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until set.
    For the strawberry mousse, in a small pot, heat the strawberries with the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and add the melted unflavored gelatin and mix well. Blend the previous preparation until it has a smooth mixture and it cools a little without placiing n a a refrigerator.
    Beat the cream to beat until it forms smooth peaks and surround the strawberry sauce. Pour this mixture over the vanilla mousse and curd and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Remove from mold and serves.

    PRESENTATION

    Decorate the cake with fresh strawberries.

    TIPS

    To prevent the unflavored gelatin curd instantly, take care that the egg whites are at room temperature.

    es la getatina sin sabor, las puedes conseguir en polvo o laminas.
