Prepare this delicious pecan flan. The traditional recipe of Flan but with an ingredient that is easy to find.The pecan is very easy to use, as it combines with several flavors. Ingredients

10 servings
  • 1 Cup of sugar for candy
  • 1 Cup of pecan for flan
  • 1 Cup of milk for flan
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence for flan
  • 1 Cup of evaporated milk for flan
  • 2 cups of cream cheese at room temperature, for flan
  • 2 cups of condensed milk for flan
  • 8 pieces of egg for flan
  • enough of pecan to decorate

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 150 °C. (300°F)
    In a saucepan over low heat cook the sugar until it forms an amber caramel without stirring so as not to crystallize the sugar. Pour still hot in a flan mold of 20 cm in diameter and let dry. Grease the edges of the mold with butter and sugar and reserve.
    For the flan, blend the walnut with milk, vanilla, evaporated milk and cream cheese until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Pour into a saucepan and heat over medium heat, meanwhile in a bowl beat the eggs with the condensed milk and add to the saucepan.
    Cook the mixture of flan for about 5 minutes stirring continuously until a thick consistency is formed, but taking care not to cook the egg.
    Pour the preparation into the mold with the caramel carefully and bake in a bain-marie for about 1 and a half hours or until it is cooked. Cools lightly and demolishes.
    Decorate the flan with pecans and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
