The Mexican bakery is very varied, so varied that in the villages these small pieces of piloncillo, exquisite biscuits with a crunchy consistency, the particular flavor of the piloncillo and a very particular shape are very typical. You will love it!

Ingredients

  • 60 milliliters of Water
  • 150 grams of piloncillo
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of anise
  • 1/2 piece of cinnamon slit
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 3/4 of Cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • 125 grams of Butter cut into cubes, cold
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1/2 Cup of milk

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 170 ° C.
    In a saucepan over medium heat cook the water with the piloncillo, the anise, the cinnamon slice until you get a caramel. Let cool and reserve.
    In a bowl, hover flour with sugar and baking powder. Add the butter and work with your fingers until you get a point of sand.
    Add the egg and the honey of piloncillo, knead until it has a homogeneous mass. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
    On a floured surface spread the dough to a thickness of 3mm, with the help of a cutter in the form of a little pig and placed in a tray, varnished with milk.
    Bake for 15 min, let cool and enjoy.

    TIPS

    It is important to refrigerate the dough before cutting it due to the large amount of butter, in this way the dough will be firmer.
