A simple and delicious dessert, a strawberries and watermelon sorbet, especially for hot times, is accompanied with a bit of dry champagne, although it is optional.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 teaspoons powdered sugar, or fine sugar
  • 300 grams watermelon, seedless, unshelled and chopped
  • 225 grams strawberry
  • champagne, optional

Preparation

The strawberries are washed and disinfected well, the rabito is removed and they are reserved together with the watermelon.
In a saucepan mix the water and the sugar; let it start to boil and remove from heat to let it cool completely
Blend watermelon and strawberries (can be in blender or food processor) to form a puree.
Mix the puree with the sugar, pour into a stainless steel container and freeze; Beat occasionally with a fork to give a smooth and even texture.
After beating at half hour intervals for about 4 hours, let it cool normally and then eat it.

PRESENTATION

Serve in glasses and pour one or two tablespoons of champagne in each glass. Accompany with strawberry.
