Preparation
Beat 1 stick of butter, add the 1/4 cup of sugar, the pinch of salt, the egg and the essence of vanilla. Add the flour and leave the pasta in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Peel the apples, cut them into four and remove their hearts.
Put half of the 3/4 cup of sugar in a saucepan and let it become a light caramel (over medium-low heat). Put it quickly in the pan, and spread it moving quickly, also add the butter and spread it.
Arrange the apples in the pan until the whole mold is covered, put the rest of the sugar and a few squares of butter.
Spread the pasta (which was refrigerated) and arrange it on top of the apples, pressing a little on the edges.
Put in preheated oven at 220 centigrade for 30 minutes (or until lightly browned). Let it cool for 5 or 10 minutes and it is to be molded.
It can be accompanied by whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
