Bread Pudding in Pressure Cooker

This pudding bread recipe is ideal to take advantage of all the bread that was left behind at home. In addition, it is a very easy and oven-free dessert, as it is a practical version to make on a stove, with a pressure cooker. With the delicious caramel sauce made with sugar, lemon juice, butter and cream an extra touch is added to enhance its flavor.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 8 sweet breads, varied, from the previous day
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cream
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cast
  • 1 cup sugar, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups Water, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for the sauce
  • 3/4 cups whipping cream, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla, for the sauce

Preparation

Cut the bread of the previous day into uniform pieces of approximately 2 cm and place in a previously greased mold. Reservation.
Mix the milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest, egg, sugar and butter in a bowl.
Add the mixture to the pan with bread and let it soak for 10 minutes. Cover the mold and place in a pressure cooker, place a rack and add water up to 1 cm before covering the mold. Cook for 20 minutes, remove from heat, cool and unmold. Reservation.
For the caramel sauce, in a pot over medium heat, add the sugar, water and lemon juice. Cook to form a golden caramel, add the butter, mix and then add the cream and mix again until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and reserve.
Serve a piece of pudding, add caramel sauce and enjoy.

PRESENTATION

It is decorated with caramel sauce and can be accompanied with a drink.

TIPS

You can use all the bread you have left behind, it can be sweet or neutral bread.
