These stuffed gorditas de nata are a very Mexican and delicious dessert that does not need an oven, as they are made on a comal. The delicious milk filling makes them special and a rich café de olla complements them very well. You will love them!

Ingredients

12 portions
  • 3 1/2 cups flour, for the chubby
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda, for the chubby
  • 1 cup sugar, for the chubby
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder, for the chubby
  • 2 San Juan® Eggs, for the chubby
  • 1 cup cream, for the chubby
  • enough wheat flour, to extend
  • 10 glories, milk to fill

Preparation

In a bowl sift the flour, the baking powder, the sugar and the cinnamon powder. Reservation.
Add the pieces of San Juan® Egg, the cream and knead until it has a smooth and homogeneous consistency. Place in a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Slightly crush the glories with the help of your hands to make them thinner. Reservation.
Shape the gorditas with your hands and fill them with the milk glories.
On a comal over low heat, cook the gorditas for 5 minutes on each side. Reservation.
Accompany with a coffee pot.

PRESENTATION

Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with café de olla.

TIPS

It is important that you let the dough cool, so that when it is stretched it does not contract. Cook over low heat to avoid burning them and avoid being raw.
