Ingredients

6 servings
  • 2 liters of Water for the punch
  • 2 rods of cinnamon for the punch
  • 1 piece of piloncillo for the punch
  • 1 Cup of sugar cane cut into sticks, for punch
  • 1 Cup of apple cut into cubes, for punch
  • 5 pieces of guava peeled and cut in half, for punch
  • 1/2 piece of orange cut in half, for punch
  • 1 Cup of tamarind peeled
  • 1/4 of Cup of Hibiscus flower for punch
  • 2 pieces of star anise for punch
  • 2 cups of ice for the margarita
  • 1/2 Cup of tequila for the margarita
  • 1/3 of Cup of Orange liqueur for the margarita
  • 4 spoonfuls of lemon juice for the margarita
  • 1/4 of Cup of piloncillo grated, to frost
  • 1/4 of Cup of chilli powder for frosting
  • 4 spoonfuls of sugar for frosting

    Preparation

    For the punch, in a pot with water bring to a boil with cinnamon, piloncillo, cane, apple, guava, orange, tamarind, hibiscus flower, anise, until they release their flavors, strain and reserve the Fruit separated from the punch. Chill.
    For the margarita, blend the ice with 1 cup of fruit punch and half a cup of the fruit, tequila, orange liqueur and lemon juice until you get a thick mixture. Reserve.
    In a bowl mix the piloncillo with chili powder and sugar. Frost the glasses for margarita by moistening the edges with orange and pass it through the previous mixture. Serve the margarita in the glasses and decorate with a bit of the fruit you reserved.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve the frosted glass with the mixture of brown sugar and chili powder.Decorate with fruit punch.

    TIPS

    You can reduce your punch more to make a syrup and your margarita is perfect.
