Prepare this delicious chai atole at home; It has that rich spicy flavor of cardamom, pepper, cinnamon and cloves that will conquer you. This warm drink is perfect for this cold season.

Ingredients

5 portions
  • 1 liter skim milk
  • 1/4 tablespoons ground cardamom
  • 5 black pepper, fat woman
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1/2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 1/4 tablespoons nutmeg powder
  • 3 star anise
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 on Maizena® Nut flavor corn starch
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Heat 1 liter of milk with the spices and once it boils, remove from heat and cover. Let stand for 10 minutes and strain.
Separately, dissolve the sugar and Maizena® Nut flavored cornstarch in 1 cup of milk
Pour the Maizena® mixture of cornstarch nut flavor to the hot milk previously flavored with the spices.
Cook over medium low heat, stirring occasionally for approximately 3 minutes or until thickened.

TIPS

If possible, let the milk sit for a longer time with the spices to achieve a more aromatic flavor.
