Prepare this delicious nut atole that will fill you with energy all day. Atole is a pre-Hispanic drink consumed in Mesoamerica and in the north of South America, originally made from corn dough and this homemade atole recipe is ideal for breakfast, as it perfectly complements your piece of sweet bread favorite, or a traditional tamale or tamale cake.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 2 cups walnut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 raja cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch, (hydrated with water)
  • walnuts, chopped, to decorate

Preparation

Blend the nut, sugar, vanilla and milk.
Pour the preparation into a pot, add the cinnamon, the cornstarch hydrated with water and cook for 10 minutes. Garnish with chopped walnuts and enjoy.

PRESENTATION

Serve in a cup, decorate with chopped walnuts and accompany with sweet bread.

TIPS

If you are lactose intolerant, you can substitute milk for water; You can also substitute sugar for brown sugar.
