A delicious holiday tradition. Jamaica, tejocotes, tamarind, guava and apple are mixed to give life to this exquisite hot fruit punch.

Ingredients

20 portions
  • 1/4 kilos Hibiscus flower
  • 1 raja cinnamon, shredded
  • 1 kilo sugar, to taste
  • 1/4 kilos Mexican hawthorn
  • 1/4 kilos tamarind
  • 1/2 kilos guava, in cubes
  • 1/2 kilos apple, in cubes
  • 1/4 kilos raisin
  • 1/4 kilos plum
  • 1 sachet cane, peeled and cut into strips girls

Preparation

Cook the jamaica and cinnamon together in sufficient water for 30 minutes.
When the jamaica is almost ready, put half the sugar in a pot with a capacity of 30 liters and light the fire so that it melts and becomes caramel. Pour into the same pot the cooking liquid of the jamaica, strained. Discard the flower and cinnamon.
Cook the tejocotes apart with a little water. Remove from the fire as soon as they boil. Allow them to cool and peel. Then, cut them in half, remove the heart and slice the halves into moons. Pour the cooking water from the tejocotes to the large pot, as well as the sliced ​​tejocotes.
Cook the tamarind in another pot with water. Squeeze and strain the pulp into the pot of the punch. Then, add the guava, apple, raisins, prunes and cane.
Add as much water as necessary and the rest of the sugar, or to taste. Let the punch boil for at least 1 hour.

PRESENTATION

Serves hot Refrigerate what is left over so that it does not spoil.

TIPS

You can add chopped walnut, rum or brandy.
