The Ponche Crema is a typical Venezuelan drink during the Christmas season that is prepared by hand. This creamy sweet concoction is made with eggs, condensed milk, whole milk and of course it contains alcohol.

Ingredients

20 portions
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 397 grams condensed milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest, or a conchita
  • 1/2 cups Rum, Venezuelan
  • to taste nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla

Preparation

In a pot heat to low heat the milk.
Beat the egg yolks. Add the yolks to the milk, the lemon conchita. Then a small cup of vanilla and nutmeg to taste. Go stirring with a tablespoon of wood, and should always be left at low temperature to prevent the yolks from coagulating.
Wait for a while to rest and lower the temperature of the liquid a little, which at this point should be somewhat thick.
Add condensed milk, rum and mix well. If you feel that you have left with lumps, you can use the blender.
Test and verify that you have the liquor you want, if you do not add more alcohol depending on the case.

PRESENTATION

Bottles in previously sterilized glass containers, cover and store in the refrigerator.

TIPS

The Ponche Crema is always served in short glasses or small glasses.
