These caprese salad sticks are an easy-to-prepare snack that look very nice when you put them in a round bowl around the dressing.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1 Bell pepper, cut into pieces and without seeds
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 20 mozzarella cheese, or fresh mosarela, in small balls or squares
  • 1/4 cups basil
  • 20 cherry tomatoes
  • leaves basil
  • 20 chopsticks

Preparation

Mix the peppers in small squares with the garlic, lemon juice, oil, salt, and pepper. Stir and add the mozzarella balls to marinate (at room temperature for at least 30 minutes).
Sprinkle the chopped basil over the marinated balls.
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
On each toothpick, insert one half of the tomato (on the sides so that the whole circle of the cut tomato is visible), then a small ball of marinated mozarella, and finally half of the tomato stuffed in a basil leaf.
Serve in a round platter and put a dressing of balsamic vinegar in the center for guests to soak.
